At each ASAA conference, a panel session is usually set aside specifically for subregional council keynote speakers (held concurrently). These are organised at the initiative of the subregional council. The ASAA has a limited amount of funds available specifically for subregional councils who require top up funding. Please note we will not be able to fund requests from all subregional councils this round. Funds can only be requested for costs related to the travel or conference attendance of a keynote speaker. Affiliated councils can apply for up to $1,000. Applications are due no later than 10 December 2023.
To apply, email Melissa Crouch (melissa.crouch@unsw.edu.au) with the following information:
- Name of Speaker
- Affiliation of Speaker
- Email Address
- Subregional council
- Contact person (eg subregional council president)
- Contact person email address
- Budget requested (up to $1,000). Please specify what for (eg conference registration, flights, accommodation).
Details for conference website
- Title of keynote
- 200 word bio of the keynote speaker
- Photograph of the speaker (attached)
It is presumed that the subregional council will either contribute some of its own funds or find another source to top up the cost of the keynote if required. The ASAA will either pay funds directly to a university account or a subregional bank account upon presentation of receipts. Alternatively, the ASAA can reimburse the keynote speaker directly upon presentation of receipts.
