Applications for Postgraduate Conference Awards for the ASAA 2026 Conference to be held at Deakin University are now open. Applications will close on Friday 13 February 2026. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by Friday 27 February 2026. Click here to apply!

The awards cover some of the costs of attending the postgraduate workshop as well as the conference. Each grant includes:

• Early bird ASAA member registration fee for the awardee;
• Accommodation for 4 nights for the awardee; and
• A ticket to the conference dinner for the awardee.

Awardees’ home institutions will be expected to cover airfares and any other costs provided for by their internal award schemes supporting postgraduate mobility, research and/or networking.

Awardees will each be required to present a paper at the conference, and to attend the postgraduate workshop and conference dinner. All awards will be paid directly to Deakin University, and not as cash grants to individuals. In 2026, Indonesia Council is generously sponsoring two additional bursaries for postgraduates who are joint members of the ASAA and IC.
