Award applications close midnight 21 January!

The ASAA is also now accepting applications for our Postgraduate Conference Awards. We pride ourselves on promoting young scholars as a key part of our activities as a professional association. For this reason, we support the attendance of postgraduate students at our biennial conferences, and the associated postgraduate workshops. For the 2022 conference there are 10 awards available, applications will close 21 January 2022.

What the awards cover

The awards cover some of the costs of attending the postgraduate workshop as well as the conference. Each grant includes

  • Early bird ASAA member registration fee for the awardee (all participants)
  • Accommodation for 4 nights for the awardee (for those attending in person) and
  • A ticket to the conference dinner for the awardee (for those attending in person)

Awardees’ home institutions will be expected to cover airfares and any other costs provided for by their internal award schemes supporting postgraduate mobility, research and/or networking. Awardees may elect to attend the conference online when they submit their application.

Awardees will each be required to present a paper at the conference, and to attend the postgraduate workshop and conference dinner. All awards will be paid directly to Monash University, and not as cash grants to individuals.
