ASAA’s Book Prizes are now open for applications and nominations! The Reid Prize, ECR Book Prize and MCR Book Prizes are now open and will close on 15 November 2023.

The Reid Prize 2023-2024

Nominations for the Reid Prize will close on 15 November 2023. The Prize is awarded biennially to the book that has best advanced the understanding of Asia in the last four years. The prize is $8,000 and the winner will be reimbursed up to $2,000 to attend the ASAA conference from 1-4 July and give the Reid Lecture. Applications are by third-party nomination only, and two ASAA members together can nominate a work for the Prize. Click here to read more and apply.

Early Career Book Prize and Mid Career Book Prize 2023

The ASAA’s Early Career Book Prize and Mid Career Book Prize will close on 15 November 2023. These prizes, of $1,000, recognises an outstanding monograph of early career and mid career scholars published in 2022-2023. Current ASAA members are eligible to apply directly to these prizes. Applications must be supported by two nominators who are also ASAA members. Click here to read more.
