Singapore Management University, Wee Kim Wee Centre Directorship
Singapore Management University is seeking to appoint a senior scholar to the directorship of the Wee Kim Wee Centre, first established as the Centre for Cross Cultural Studies. SMU is seeking a dynamic and well-established academic leader, who possesses a PhD in a relevant social sciences/humanities field. The candidate is expected to have an outstanding record of research excellence, cross-disciplinary teaching experience, strong leadership quality, and an extensive network both in Singapore and internationally. The Director will lead the next phase of the Center’s development by shaping its research agenda, especially those relevant to Singapore, to respond to current imperatives and emerging challenges. The Director will also lead in the development of educational programs, knowledge repositories, and community outreach activities, thus strengthening stakeholder engagement and connections between the university and the community. The appointment may be made on tenure at the full Professorial level, depending on the academic achievement of the candidate.

Full evaluation of applications will start from 11 February 2017. Interviews for shortlisted candidates are likely to be conducted soon thereafter. The successful candidate will be expected to start at Singapore Management University in July 2017 or at a mutually agreeable date.
